Artist's Comments
Part of a series of character portraits I've been doing lately during short breaks from work.
Okay, well this all started when I realized I hardly EVER do drawings of Harry, though I do think he's a fascinating character, what with the weighT of the world on his shoulders an' all...
So this particular moment came about when I started thinking of that shot from Sorccer's Stone, when wee!harry first arrives at his dorm at Hogwarts, and sits in the window all contemted like. And I couldn't help but think that by the 6th book, that window probably doesn't fit him comfortably anymore...and in truth neither does Hogwarts.. In a matter of speaking, he's out grown the comfort and protection that the school has to offer.. SO! There ya go..WAY overthought angsty Potti.....sometimes I think I put too much effort into being a dork..LOL!
